The Kaffee Glockenspiel is a Viennese coffee house located in one of the oldest patrician‘s houses at the Linzer main square.
At the gable of the house a carillon is inserted, which sounds at 11:03, 14:03 and 17:03 o‘clock.
For celebrations we recommend the "Ignatius-Stueberl" for 20 persons.
We are pleased to serve you the finest coffee specialities, stove-fresh cake and different breakfast variations.

Another way of a Viennese coffee house
In this kind certainly not only unique in Linz.
Our bar is furnished like a traditional Viennese coffee house, nevertheless, one of the most popular meeting places not only for coffee lovers in Linz.
Whether old or young, everyone meets here for a Melange or a pint of beer whereto we also offer snacks and small courts.
Furthermore we are particularly known for our excellent sweets of the house Jindrak and our comfortable guest garden which has opened in summer until midnight.
Our history
Our house is one of the oldest patricians houses of the provincial capital of Upper Austria. It was built in 1485 in the baroque periode, at that time it harboured a cloister.
After 1558 the building was twice a seat and in possession of Linzer mayors. From 1722 the Linzer main post office was accommodated. In those days the rooms of today?s coffee house served as stable for the horses of the stagecoaches.
Since 1940 the building is standing under monumental protection.
In August, 1992 the family Reussner opened the current coffee house.
If you enter the house through the arched hallway you reach a delightfully restored, 40-metre-long arcade court decorated with flowers.

Reservation
With pleasure we reserve you our Ignatius-Stueberl in the rear area of our bar. It has room for 20 persons and it is suitable for seminars, birthday parties, etc.
Opening hours
Our cafe is open all year (including all holidays), daily from 8.30 a.m.
